Genuine Temporary Entrant Criteria

The GTE should include the applicant's national background, the reasons for studying in Australia, the significance of the course to their long-term professional or personal objectives, their immigration history, and their prior academic documents, which should include details about their qualifications, education provider, and length of study.   • Gap in the previous study: Specify the reason for the gap between studies taking into account periods without enrolment.

  • Current employment: Keep track of your current employer, your role, and provide details to someone who can verify your work.

  • Ties to home country: Give proof of any family, social, or financial links that would reward you to return after finishing your education.

  • Economic circumstances: Submit past year documents such as employment records, business activity statements or tax returns.

Health Insurance Requirements

For the period of their stay in Australia, all international students should have sufficient coverage for health care while studying abroad. It is suggested that health insurance be obtained from an Australian provider. Students wishing to stay in Australia as temporary holders of student visas must provide proof of adequate health coverage for their studies.

Financial Requirements

Check with your education consultant about the financial capacity requirements for your studies, which may include:
